Per Diem LPN/RNs  Multicultural Ambulatory Addiction Services (MAAS) program in New Haven, CT.


The Multicultural Ambulatory Addiction Services (MAAS) at 426 East Street in New Haven provides the following interventions for chemical dependency and behavioral health issues in an outpatient setting: Ambulatory Detoxification, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), Day and Outpatient Treatment. Medications employed within these protocols include but are not limited to Methadone, Buprenorphine, Naltrexone, Antabuse, and other psycho-tropics as deemed necessary. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administers methadone per MAAS policy and procedures
  • Complies with clinical and administrative requirements related to client services as outlined in policies and all applicable regulations- including physician’s orders, daily reporting, daily communication log, documentation of all client services, incidents and accidents.
  • Follows all policy and procedures related to opening, administering methadone and daily closing procedures
Qualifications
  • Valid State of Connecticut license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
  • Experience with an automated medicating system preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with African-Origin/Latino (a) community preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Medication assisted treatment or community based organization or related experience preferred

MAAS: Weekend Recovery Assistant (Approximately 8hrs. /week)


General Description:
The weekend Recovery Assistant is primarily responsible for the upkeep of the building.
Along with maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the MAAS location on the weekend,
he/she also prepares the facility as needed for trainings and or special events. During the
weekend he/she will be responsible for monitoring patient medication services, and will
assist in providing necessary supports for the clinic.

Requirements:

  • High school degree or GED with prior successful experience in related food service positions required.
  • Moderate reading and writing skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
  • Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stood, climb, push and pull items weighing 40 pounds or less.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

MAAS: MAT Recovery Coach FT


CASA, Inc.’s mission is to provide holistic and culturally competent community-based
behavioral health services to individuals, families and communities seeking recovery from
addictions, co-occurring disorders and related behavioral health issues. CASA was established 30 years ago as a response to the need for available and accessible behavioral health treatment (substance abuse and mental health treatment) services. CASA offers distinct programs in New Haven and Bridgeport CT.
CASA Inc. is seeking to hire a 40 hours per week MAT Recovery Coach for the New Haven, CT location.
General Description:
The Recovery Coach is responsible for working collaboratively with staff to bridge the chasm
between professional treatment in MAAS’s clinical setting and sustainable recovery within each client’s natural environment. He/she will acts as a role model and strategically use one’s own story to enhance the recovery resolve of others. He/she will develop and facilitate the
implementation and ongoing development of individual and group recovery support services.
He/she will support individuals in exploring, identifying and connecting with community and
natural resources and supports while transitioning to productive community members. Will
perform basic office duties and be required to provide outreach and transportation as assigned.
Requirements:

  • Certificate of completion from an accredited Recovery Coach program.
  • Lived experience of mental health/psychiatric symptoms and/or in recovery fromsubstance use disorder.
  • Familiarity with area recovery community, services and resources
  • Experience with group education and/or facilitation.
  • Understanding of and ability to maintain appropriate boundaries.
  • Bilingual (English- Spanish) a Plus
  • Evidence of knowledge of the dynamics of chemical dependency rehabilitation, the challenges associated with MAT services, the best practices available to the chemically dependent, community resources and appreciation of recovery coaching and self-help groups.
  • Must demonstrate appreciation and willingness to develop continuing skills towards multicultural competency within a behavioral health setting.
  • Must demonstrate good emotional stability, maturity, warmth and openness.
  • General office and basic computer experience a Plus.

PROJECT COURAGE: PT Driver/Cook


General Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, the PT Driver/Cook performs work in the operation of a vehicle to assure safe transportation of clients to and from program and to assists clients and their children on entry and exit from vehicles as necessary. The PT driver/cook is also responsible for preparing a light lunch for the clients of Project Courage facility and he/she is also responsible to clean/sanitize highly touched surfaces in the facility as well as the van after every run.

Requirements:

  • High School or GED
  • Valid driver’s/ Public service license (PSL)
  • Must have a safe driving record
  • Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to maintain an accurate PPE inventory
  • Able to communicate well with clients in both English and Spanish
